The First Step is Easy
Berlin, 1979. A city in transition, full of creative personalities and musical experimentation from New Wave and Punk to Techno. What the rest of the world considered settled law, Berlin put to question. And the same went for the idea that HIFI should be bulky, expensive, and complicated. Our DIY speaker kits stood in firm opposition to that, making great sound easy and affordable.
A new idea. The Teufel brand was born.
Great Sound is just a Click Away
Way back in 1985, before most people had even heard of the Internet, we took our first order by email. And into the present day, online shopping continues to offer our customers many advantages. Test your speakers from the comfort of your home to see how they fit your favorite music genres and room acoustics.
The Loud Old Days
Not everyone can find the free time to build a speaker from a DIY kit. That was why we started offering readymade speakers in 1990. And what speakers they were. The M 200 and M 300 were a loud, brash statement of our competency in the classical stereo speaker field.
Groooaaarrr!
The call of the Tyrannosaurus was never this real before. Because in 1996, Teufel released the Theater 8, Germany’s first THX-certified home cinema system. Even today, Teufel is Europe’s leading producer of THX home cinema systems.
See it, Want it, Buy it
Our website was one of the first in any industry in Germany. And our direct-to-consumer model has many exciting advantages to offer you: an extraordinary price to audio performance ratio, and direct contact with us. That in turn gave us the opportunity to incorporate customer feedback into our new products. Fun fact: we already offered an 8-week return policy back then.
Let the Games Begin
What makes a sound system good for stereo or home cinema use are the same things that make for great gaming. Teufel’s precise high-power sound provides the immersion and pinpoint audio perception that gamers demand from their audio systems. This year, Teufel started offering gaming systems under the names CONCEPT E Magnum and CONCEPT C.
True Love From Ear to Ear
The Teufel MASSIVE brought our legendary Berlin sound to headphones for the first time. Today, you can find over 20 different models of headphone in our webshop. Coming in every size and form-factor on the market, they’ve found popularity all over Europe.
Speakers that Network
Your Wi-Fi network is a musical wizard. Raumfeld technology made it possible to send lossless audio signals to multiple speakers on the same network, even in different rooms. Teufel acquired the Raumfeld brand and expanded our offer and audio profile. This also marked our entry into the Dutch, Polish, French, and Swedish Markets.
Because We Care
In 2014, we opened our first store in the Bikini Berlin shopping complex, a location once home to West-Berlin nightclub Linientreu, which was frequented by the likes of David Bowie. Our over 800 m² of sales floor is packed full of listening rooms, home theater testing spaces, and everything else from the world of Teufel. Additional stores in Leipzig, Stuttgart, Essen, Cologne, and Vienna were to follow.
The Birth of an Icon
You wanted it, and you got it: the largest Bluetooth speaker ever made at the time. With the ROCKSTER speaker, we made our debut in the portable Bluetooth speaker market. And because our fans loved the speaker so much, a whole range of ROCKSTER speakers came next.
Dynamore® Rounding it Out
We developed Dynamore® technology in-house at our Berlin office to turn little Bluetooth speakers into whole HIFI sets. We also started incorporating other advanced technologies such as Dolby Atmost, Bluetooth aptX™ HD and adaptive ANC into our products.
Ü Sound over the Horizon
Think live sound only sounds right in big concert halls? With the POWER HIFI, you can listen to any concert in your living room or play your own DJ compositions for your very own fans. Ultra loud, super high power. Also in this year, our very first completely wireless in-ear headphones, the AIRY TRUE WIRELESS rose to top seller status.
Everything it Takes to Make Great Sound
Teufel starts selling select AV receivers, amplifiers, projectors, microphones, and more in our webshop so our fans could enjoy sound on every level. This finally made it possible to order a complete home cinema set with a single click.
Always Taking New Paths
We always remain true to our founding philosophy. Even after 45 years. With exciting new products such as the REAL BLUE PRO with Mimi technology, the ROCKSTER AIR 2, six stores in Germany, and online presence all over Europe, as well as our entry onto the US market with the Fender x Teufel product line.
For us, the Teufel history is not a nostalgic look back, but the intro to our next hits. With a passion for good sound, we develop and design extraordinary new products and improve our classics in the heart of Berlin.

As a company with over 320 employees, we are aware of our social responsibility. We are actively committed to social interaction, diverse work culture and the careful use of environmental resources. Regardless of the issue at stake, we regularly question our actions and examine how we as a company can become even better in this area.
Good sound makes life better, so it should not harm the environment.
The question of how we as a company can act more sustainably is being addressed by a team founded specifically for this purpose, in which international Teufel colleagues are involved across all divisions and hierarchies.
The cooperation here is on a voluntary basis, which gives the project a unique energy. In regular meetings, ideas for more environmentally friendly management are developed, presented to the management and then independently promoted by the members. Here you can read about which projects have been successfully implemented so far and be sure that this is just the beginning.
For our products, we focus on value so that you can enjoy them for a long time.
Synthetic leather and robust, tough material guarantee quality, environmentally-friendly products with a long lifetime.
Many loudspeakers are disposed of because after years the bead, which is the rubber lip on the edge of the membrane, has become porous. That's not the case with Teufel. Highly flexible rubber lets good sound live longer.
Within the consumer electronics industry, Lautsprecher Teufel is one of the companies with the lowest return rate. This saves energy and conserves resources.
The Teufel family is bold, open and diverse. This allows us to receive creativity in all forms. The only thing that matters is that we are all united by our love of good sound and the courage to question conventions in order to change things for the better.
The members of the Teufel family come from 17 nations.
We employ people aged between 20 and 60, which creates exciting synergies.
Who you love is not important to us, we are only interested in your passion for good sound.
Without strong individuals there can be no strong community.
We all have different needs to be able to do a good job. That's why every employee at Teufel is individually supported and promoted.
We want to give something back to the community.
As a company, we not only take responsibility for our employees but also try to make a contribution to the society in which we live.
